Ingredients
Jaggery (Gud) – 1 kg
Ghee – 200 grams
Wheat flour – 500 grams
Dry coconut (grated) – 1/2 cup (optional)
Poppy seeds (posto) – 2 teaspoons (optional)
Cashews, almonds, pistachios – 1/2 cup (chopped)
Cardamom powder – 1 teaspoon
Directions
- Roasting the Flour – Heat ghee in a deep pan. Add wheat flour and fry on low flame until golden golden and aromatic. Keep it aside.
- Making jaggery syrup: Pour 1 cup of water into a separate pan and melt the jaggery on low flame. After the jaggery melts completely, filter it so that no impurities remain. Now cook it on medium flame until it becomes a stringy syrup.
- Preparing the Jaggery and Flour Mixture – Add the syrup to the roasted flour slowly and mix well. Add grated dry coconut, chopped nuts, poppy seeds, and cardamom powder. Mix all the ingredients well.
- Setting the mixture – Grease a plate or tray with ghee, pour the prepared jaggery-pak mixture into it, and spread it evenly. Let it cool.
- Cutting and serving. After cooling down, cut it into desired shapes. Your delicious and healthy jaggery-pak is ready.
