Ingredients
- For pizza base
Flour – 2 cups
Yeast – 1 teaspoon
Sugar – 1 teaspoon
Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Oil – 2 tbsp
Lukewarm water – as required for topping
Tomato sauce or pizza sauce – 1/2 cup
Chopped vegetables – capsicum, onion,
Tomatoes, olives, sweet corn (as per your choice)
Mozzarella cheese (grated) – 1 cup
Chili flakes – 1/2 teaspoon
Mixed horseradish/oregano – 1/2 tsp
Butter – 1-2 tbsp
Directions
- Preparing pizza base (if you want to make it at home) – In a bowl, add lukewarm water, sugar and yeast and let it rise for 10 minutes. Add salt and oil to the flour.
- Add the yeast mixture to it and knead a soft dough. Cover it and keep it in a warm place for 1 hour. The dough will double in size. Divide it into small balls and roll them so that mini pizza bases are ready.
- Making Pizza Use readymade pizza base/bread/chapati or use homemade base Apply tomato sauce/pizza sauce on the base Garnish with chopped vegetables Add grated cheese Sprinkle chilli flakes and mixed herbs on top.
- Method of Cooking Heat a pan lightly and apply some butter on it Place the mini pizzas on the pan, cover and cook on a low flame for 7-10 minutes till the cheese melts In the Oven Preheat oven to 180°C Place the mini pizzas on a baking tray Bake for 10-12 minutes or till the cheese melts and turns light golden.
- How to Serve: Serve hot mini pizzas with sauce and beverages. Prepare it for kids’ tiffin or snack time.
Notes
- You can use pav bread, English muffin or naan for mini pizzas.
- If you like cheese more, add double layer cheese.
- Paneer or pepperoni can also be used with vegetables. This quick dish makes people of all ages happy
