Mawa (Khoya) – 1 kg
Paneer – 250 grams (grated)
Refined flour – 100 grams
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Milk – 2-3 tbsp (for kneading)
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Oil/ghee – for frying
- For syrup (Chashni)
Sugar – 2 kg
Water – 1.5 liters
Rose water – 2 tsp
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Directions
- To prepare syrup, mix sugar and water in a large vessel and boil it on medium flame till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add cardamom powder and rose water Keep the syrup thin (1 string syrup is not required) Add lemon juice to the syrup so that it does not solidify Turn off the gas and keep the syrup lukewarm.
