2 tablespoons homemade applesauce or store-bought applesauce
⅓ cup milk of choice (I used almond milk), plus extra for serving (optional)
1 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apple, preferably organic
Chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds
Drizzle of honey or maple syrup, if desired
