Ingredients

  • Tomatoes – 6-7 (ripe, big size)

  • Ghee – 2 tbsp

  • Boiled potatoes – 2 (mashed)

  • Green peas (boiled) – 1/2 cup

  • Cashews – 8-10 (chopped)

  • Raisins – 8-10

  • Ginger – 1-inch piece

  • Green chilli – 2-3 (finely chopped)

  • Coriander leaves – finely chopped

  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp

  • Cumin – 1/2 tsp

  • Roasted cumin powder – 1 tsp

  • Chaat Masala – 1 tsp

  • Salt – as per taste

  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh cream- 2-3 tbsp

Directions

  • Preparation of tomatoes- Wash the tomatoes and slash them into fragile pieces. Make sure that the tomatoes are ripe and red, this enhances the taste of the chaat.
  • Riding the fragrances- Heat ghee in a visage, append cumin seeds, when the cumin seeds start creaking, append diced gusto and verdant chilies. Now add diced tomatoes to it and bend on low honey for 5- 7 twinkles, until the tomatoes come soft and mucilage-like.
  • However, append turmeric, red chili grease paint, and swab and integrate well, If this doesn’t be.
  • Append chaat constituents append sizzled potatoes, verdant peas, cashews, and raisins to the twisted tomato admixture. Bend them on low honey for 4- 5 twinkles. Append chaat masala and roasted cumin grease paint. Append bomb juice and integrate well.
  • Garnish and serve- Take out the chaat in a vessel, append coriander leaves, and fresh cream/mawa on top. However, embellish it with papdi, sev, or bhujia, If you wish.
  • Serve- Serve the Banarasi Tamatar Chaat hot and enjoy it with your blood or customers. This chaat is the stylish expressway to bring home the real taste of the thoroughfares of Banaras.

Notes

  • 1. Exercise Fresh Tomatoes,  take fresh, ripe tomatoes for the stylish air and texture.
  • 2. Append Brickle rudiments,  append brickle rudiments like sev (fried gram flour polls), or diced nuts to enhance the texture.
  • 3.  Exercise Fresh Sauces,  exercise fresh sauces like cilantro, mint, or basil to add newness and air.
