Manual almond butter is healthy, affordable, and indeed more succulent than store-bought! It’s easy to make, too. You’ll just need a good food processor or blender. The recipe yields about 1 ⅔ mug of almond butter (that’s 16 ounces, the fellow of a jar of almond butter from the store).

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces (3 cups) raw almonds

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Optional: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Optional: 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey

Directions

  • Preheat the roaster to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread the almonds across a large, rimmed baking distance and toast the almonds for 10 twinkles, stirring half.
  • Let the almonds cool until they’re just warm (not hot), about 10 twinkles.
