Ingredients

  • 250 grams paneer (cut into pieces)

  • 1 cup gram flour (gram flour)

  • 2-3 ginger and green chili paste

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp red chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin (ground)

  • salt to taste

  • Water (to dissolve gram flour)

  • oil for frying

Directions

  • First, put gram flour in a bowl and add ginger-green chili paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin, and salt.
  • Make a thick batter of gram flour by adding water little by little; the batter should not be too thin.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Dip the paneer pieces in the gram flour solution so that they are coated well.
  • Now, put these pakoras in hot oil and fry them until they become golden and crisp.
  • When the pakoras become golden, take them out and keep them on kitchen paper so that excess oil can drain off.
  • Your paneer pakoras are ready. Serve them warm with green chutney or sauce.

Notes

  • Paneer Quality: Use high-quality paneer that is fresh and has a good texture.
  • Batter Consistency: The batter should be thick enough to coat the paneer cubes evenly but not so thick that it becomes difficult to fry.
